My Beautiful Blue German Shepherds

Sophie is my long coat Blue and Cream from my litter of Izzy and Zar, she will carry long and short coat Blues. She is beautiful, intelligent and she has a sweet temperament. I am so excited to have her become part of my breeding program!

Ty is my Blue Sable male. He has the sweetest disposition, I call him my "Mr. Lovebug" he likes to give me lots of kisses. He gets along with all of my shepherds. Very close to Sophie, who he will be bred to and will produce all Blue's, long and short coats.

Blue GSD are a naturally occurring color within the GSD gene pool.  The
color is listed on the registration certificate as the GSD club within AKC
recognize that this is a color that is carried by many GSD and should be
acknowledged as it’s genetic coloration. The puppies born of a blue GSD
that are expressing the color blue themselves are born a very striking shade of
blue. When they are born their eyes are a very bright blue and they stay blue until 10 weeks of age.
They then turn to either gray to a gold color.
Blue is a dilution of black. It is lighter than black, and in some cases, it is
very apparent that they are still blue as adults. The puppies are born a very
pretty shade of blue and many of them turn to almost like a steele gray black as
adults.
Some of the blues are born lighter and remain a little lighter as adults. You
may hear the phrases: "Powder Blue" and "Steele Blue", these terms refer to the
shades of blue which refers to the depth of the blue color on the dogs coat.
The only way to know who are carriers is to breed them to blue or test their DNA with one of the color labs.
Both of the parents have to be blue carriers in order to produce blue puppies.
